Hello, I'm Basti Bagtas, an interdisciplinary designer and a recent graduate at UC San Diego with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts. My practice spans graphic design, interactive media, and experiential storytelling, exploring how technology, movement, sound, and space can transform the way people engage with creative work.
I am particularly interested in designing immersive environments and interactive installations that invite participation rather than observation. Through tools such as TouchDesigner, audiovisual systems, and motion-based interaction, I explore how experiences can create and evolve meaningful connections between people and their surroundings.
Fashion remains a central influence in my work. I am drawn to its ability to communicate identity, culture, and emotion without words, much like music, movement, and visual media. Whether developing brand experiences, live visuals, or installation-based projects, I seek to create work that exists at the intersection of fashion, technology, and contemporary culture. Creating is an ongoing process of exploration, and a constant search for new ways to tell stories, build experiences, and connect communities!
